JOB OPENING
Director of Special Education
MSAD #70 has an opening for a full-time Director of Special Education for all MSAD #70 School Department programs and contracted services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the implementation of all special education programs
- Oversee special education teaching staff and educational technicians, including evaluation and hiring of staff
- Development and management of special education budgets, including local entitlement grants
- Coordinate special services (OT, PT, etc.) for students
- Collaborate with staff from various departments to plan short or long-term special services for students
- Complete all required Maine DOE forms required
- Provide staff development opportunities for special education staff as needed.
Qualifications: Master's Degree, 030 Special Education Director Certification (or equivalent) and CHRC are required.
