Counter Customer Service Representative
(FULL TIME POSITION)

The Town of Madawaska has an opening for a Full-Time, 39 hour a week, Monday - Thursday Front Counter Customer Service Representative; $18 per hour.

The primary function of the Counter Customer Service Representative will be the first point of contact for processing fish and game licenses, registering motor vehicles and recreational vehicles, vital records, collecting Real Estate, Personal Property Tax, and Sewer Payments, issuing licenses, assisting with elections, Secretary to the Planning Board and various other duties but not limited to assisting the Town Clerk.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with residents, taxpayers, and staff. Must have excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to understand and apply state and local law. The candidate will work under the supervision of the Town Clerk. This position does require seasonal flexibility to work longer hours and some late evenings due to meetings.

Candidates should possess knowledge of modern office equipment, procedures and strong computer skills. This position requires ability to balance multiple tasks, display initiative, sound judgement, as well as the ability to work independently with the public. Strong preference will be given to applicants with Municipal, BMV, and TRIO software experience.
